Fourth graders have been researching and learning about our 50th state - Hawaii. Students created group projects that included: making a map of the Hawaiian Islands, creating a travel brochure, researching the climate and history of Hawaii, displaying the state symbols and drawing birds, plants, and animals found in Hawaii. Our principal, Dr. Alice Tenney, recently visited this beautiful state and gave us some lessons on doing the native "Hula" dance.
